چکیده

In this research, catalytic cracking of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) has been carried out in the presence three kinds typical molecular sieves, including ZSM-5, HY and MCM-41, respectively. The effects different catalysts on composition quantity pyrolysis products consisting gas, oil solid material were systematically investigated summarized. Specially, added into LDPE for to obtain regulatable gas (H2, CH4 a mixture C2–C4+ gaseous hydrocarbons). These characterized with BET, NH3-TPD, SEM TEM. results show that addition MCM-41 improved yield, indicating secondary intermediate species primary decreased case catalyst. highest selectivity liquid (78.4% at 650 °C) may be attributed its moderate total acidity relatively high BET surface area. ZSM-5 found produce great amount (61.4% 67.1% °C). particular, aromatic yield production reached maximum (65.9% 500 when was used. Accordingly, catalysts, new environment-friendly efficient recovery approach developed valuable by LDPE-type plastic wastes.

DC Thermal Plasma Design and Utilization for the Low Density Polyethylene to Diesel Oil Pyrolysis Reaction

The exponential increase of plastic production produces 100 million tonnes of waste plastics annually which could be converted into hydrocarbon fuels in a thermal cracking process called pyrolysis. In this research work, a direct current (DC) thermal plasma circuit is designed and used for conversion of low density polyethylene (LDPE) into diesel oil in a laboratory scale pyrolysis reactor. The...

Low Temperature Catalytic Cracking of Heavy Feedstock Optimized by Response Surface Method

Upgrading of cracked PFO (Pyrolysis fuel oil) for production of fuels, such as gasoline and light gasoil, was carried out in a semi batch reactor. Two different kinds of mesoporous and microporous catalysts, MCM-41 and ZSM-5, were used. Modification methods, such as ion exchange and impregnation with Fe and Ti, were done for tuning the acidity of the catalyst. XRD, FT-IR, and XRF analyzes were ...

Synthesis, characterization, and stability of Fe-MCM-41 for production of carbon nanotubes by acetylene pyrolysis.

Fe-substituted MCM-41 molecular sieves with ca. 1, 2, and 3 wt % Fe were synthesized hydrothermally using different sources of colloidal silica (HiSil and Cab-O-Sil) and characterized by ICP, XRD, N2 physisorption, UV-vis, EPR, TPR, and X-ray absorption. Catalysts synthesized from Cab-O-Sil showed higher structural order and stability than those from HiSil. The local environment of Fe in the me...
